1st XI Football Tour Milan 2023

This year we were fortunate enough to be able to take our 1st football team to Milan for the XI football tour. An amazing opportunity to visit Italy and compete in games against other teams.

After arriving in Milan, the boys were in very good spirits despite the long day. We headed straight to Inter Milan's Academy to watch the U16s v Monza. The boys had their first training session and took a visit to the city centre.

Over the next couple of days of the trip, our students enjoyed training at the Inter Milan Academy ground with their staff, took a trip to Milan City Centre for some culture, history and a little bit of shopping. Visiting Inter HQ, we had a surprise meeting with former Inter player Fabio Galante, a definite highlight!

Our students enjoyed a lovely visit to the historic San Siro and were given a brilliant tour of the stadium, which featured some great insights into how two huge clubs can co-exist. In the afternoon, our students had a fixture where the team had a fantastic 8-0 win. They finished off their brilliant day with a meal out in Milan city centre. Well done boys!

On the Thursday, the team had their last training session with Inter. In the afternoon, the boys went on to play Pozzuolo and won 7-0. Man of the match was Callum, scoring a hat-trick, with his first goal scored from 35 yards out.

A brilliant overseas trip that provided students with the opportunity to explore Milan and play some great games as a team. What an exciting place to learn and grow!
