Oracy

At VCP we recognise Oracy is central to learning: purposeful talk is planned deliberately. There are a range of opportunities for all pupils (regardless of educational needs) to receive a high-quality oracy education where scaffolds and structures support and challenge students. The culture of listening ensures that all voices are valued and heard. We know our pupils are confident speakers, but our aim is for students to use social oracy skills to collaborate with others: communication is a life skill. Our pupils leave VCP with the oracy tools needed for success beyond the school grounds.
